Why not drill a bit straight into the center of cut barrel?
Hah! that's also an option. Its a very small hole I think.
I found a spacer that had a tarnished steel look I liked, I think thats why I did it!
I haven’t done this myself but have been toying with the idea. A good center punch should set u up perfectly. 4-40 hole is about the size of it no?
I know this isn’t the HERO but it surly wanted to be. I’m doing a build thread of this blaster as and wanted to show what I’ve come up with so far..
Just finished this one. (Well 2 as I made one for myself). It's all alloy with a couple of obvious brass bits. It's still a functioning BB gun as well.... Just for giggles.
Thanks man. I scaled originally from a doopydoos kit but I’ve reworked it multiple times over. Everything is a game of constant shaving and shaping.

Does the dark energy kit fit the MGC Mauser properly? I contacted them and they said their sets are for Denix's. Does that mean that in the Tested/Adam Savage video build they used a Denix set for an MGC? Been trying to figure this out. Apologize if this has been answered before.
It actually fits an MGC better than it fits a denix. MGC’s and denix mausers are very similar in overall shape and size. An MGC basically has more details like the extraction marking, mag release plate and working safety. The barrel on the MGC is thinner than the denix as well. The DEC bull barrel in fact is designed to line up better with an MGC. So ur golden if u have one to build on [emoji106]

Not sure what MGC and Denix you compared, but they differ noticeable in size and shape.
It’s just my own personal observation between building on multiple of each. Personally I’ve not noticed these major differences, other than what I mentioned in my last post is all. Yes the MGC is much more detailed but overall in shape and size its pretty similar IMHO of course. But as always to each their own and I respect your perspective [emoji106]

A few millimeters here and there, slighly different angles and shapes - for some of us that is a big difference.
Recently updated and added some new details to my designs. If u’ve seen my Instagram page or apart of the FB Blaster group I’m sorry for the repost but if u’re like me you can never get enough of these beautiful blasters [emoji106]

I think the question really is if the parts will "fit" the MGC as well as the Denix. The answer is yes. Mosst people use Denix for cost savings and availability since it is ever harder to find an MGC. They also fit real C96s...but again, not many can use them for a build...only the lucky !
The Denix and MCG as Lichtbringer said have slightly different shapes and sizes and detail quality...but the areas that the parts need to fit are close enough to not pose a problem with building a nice blaster.
