I love ALIEN props, and I've always wanted one of the white emergency hatchet's from the Narcissus locker. So, I did some digging and tracked down the right one. It turned out to be an Estwing #2 with a leather grip. I sourced a vintage one to keep costs down, but Estwing actually still makes a similar model today. I did the polished part of the blade with chrome paint, though I'm sure someone with better metal working skills could polish the axe to a similar finish. I sanded a few rusty spots off the axe, sealed the leather grip with PVA glue, then primed, fine sanded, and painted it up.
