Here is my entry to the costume contest. For many years I wanted to make Marvin from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Finally I made it. This is my fourth armor build. I made two Mass Effect ones and a MLP/Transformer one prior to this. It's all self-taught. I didn't watch any videos or read any tutorials, I just put it together in my head and winged the rest. Marvin is made entirely out of EVA foam except for the head which is an acrylic globe. Originally I had one that was too small so I had to get a larger one to modify. For me to do this at his accurate height, I'm on my knees (since I'm a 5'8" tall woman). I have no issues in walking around on my knees since I'm using heavy duty kneepads. The biggest issue is when I got to DragonCon, the heat warped the head a little. Here are the progress pics and final pics of my build.
