PCB edge card find

This is an IBM Transistor Logic SMS Printed circuit board. Called (and looks) vintage, but don't know the exact year.

I'm not saying this is OMG the part...

But you have to admit, it's one of the closest you've seen, right? Laid out here by Roy's ESB card.

And on the back side-- TI transistors that are about the exact same size as the replicas Roman makes available.

Looks good to me. Besides, you are comparison is with a interpretation part. It may be the exact piece.

OK just bought a card with a double set of those pins for20 dollars. Both have 16 pins though judging by your card and replica card might need to shave 1 pin off.

Seth, this is amazing!!
I've never seen any vintage edge connector come as close as this one you found. I envy you!! I've searched for many hours, but never seen anything even remotely as close as this. Congrats! It very well could be the original. Does it work out from production year point of view?

I'm not a transistor specialist, but it would make a lot of sense!

There are lots of cards like that out there with edge connectors with that spacing, which is a standard spacing. We have discussed vintage HP computers and Commodore 64s before.
The problem is finding an exact match. Roy's card is still closer because it has the right colour of PCB.

Yeah, there are a ton of "close enough" boards out there. I don't think the color of the board is right on this one. Nice vintage piece though and certainly a good buy.

Awesome find, Seth!
I had these in my ebay bin before and decided the color was not close enough to buy one, but seeing how close they match in size and shape... I just bought two. :D The only thing that's not quite right is the width of the traces. If you cut one of them down, you will see more than 13 contacts.

View attachment 701940 This was the closest I ever found. Nice work Seth! That shape is not necessarily common in the junk we have to dig through

That one is truly amazing! Have you tried cutting it down? I would have bought that one in a heartbeat, looks very close to me!

According to this site, they were used in the late 50s, to mid 60s.

All I did was go to eBay and search "vintage circuit board" in hopes of some cool custom parts!

That LIKE was for the pic, not you getting snaked.

Oh crap, I caused another mad dash didn't I?

At least this time they want call me and ask what the hell is going on like the lure tape people did...

Any ideas how I can attach these transistors? Do we know how the original OBK hero did it?

Can I have one of them?
