This is true. Now I just have to figure out which design to make. Plus it would be nice to be able to carry my wallet and phone in them lol.

Thighs are complete I think haha. I keep going back to them to add little details.

First full suit up. Still some strapping issues to work through and I have to add the straps for the thighs but it's all coming together now I also think a big utility belt will help the overall look as well.

It looks awesome! I love the Avengers logos, that was a nice touch. I do think bigger pouches would go nicely with the design you have. I can't wait to see it all painted.

Thank you! I'm really excited to about the paint job. The thighs turned out much better than I thought they would especially since I almost didn't make them but I'm glad I did.

Small update, I attached the shoulders to the armor and cut the arm guards down the middle and adding Velcro so I could easily get the armor on and off by myself. I also made a new jaw for the helmet and it is no longer crooked.


The armor is all ready to be sealed all the strapping has been completed.

Haven't started sealing yet very short on free time at the moment but I did manage to knock out a belt. I'll have to wait until I get some 5 mm foam to start on making the pouches but the base is there.
Basing my belt off of this picture.

I hope to make the pouches as close to these as I can get. Unsure of the color scheme with the belt weather it should be brown, black or anther color.

Looking really good. As for the color situation, I would just leave the belt for last and then see from there what would go best with the rest of the armor.

That's what I'm thinking to. I've started sealing it's not my favorite part of building so I'm going very slow but I have about half the parts ready and will post some photos once it's all complete before I start painting. Which I hope to start this weekend.

Glad I stumbled on this post I love the idea of Capt. America armor! Looking great so far!

For the shield did you also make that one out of foam? If so how did it hold up?

Thank you. Me to, I hope he gets some type of armor in the new movie to fight ironman.
The shield in the picture is metal made it from a saucer sled using valors method.The new shield is still being work on I may have to start over on it since it's not coming out as planned. Thanks for looking.

Just a few pictures, everything but the chest has been sealed and dipped. I ran out of plastidip so I couldn't finish the chest. I started brush painting the forearms first time trying this method not sure how I like it will take a another coat to tell. Hope to post pictures of the pieces as soon as I finish them this weekend.

Also I have more foam in so I will be working on the pouches for the belt soon and I ordered some new leather to redo the back of my shield harness.

I didn't get as far along as I would have liked to this weekend. I ended up doing a last minute commission for a friend and that took my Time away from painting. But I did manage to get a couple coats of red on the forearms and shin guards and very happy with the color.
Still have to do a few more coats before ready to be battled damaged.
As far as the rest of the suit goes I applied two coats of the blue to everything will be brushing on the wire and red.
Well that's it for now, I hope to have the suit completed very shortly just brush painting and battle damage left. Thanks for looking.

I am still alive Haha. Sorry I haven't posted much lately but as you all know life gets crazy.
I wasn't able to finish before Halloween but still keeping on.

Here are a few of the pictures. I still have to add a few coats of white only one coat applied here. The red needs a single coat on the chest and the thighs the arm guards and shins are done except for battle damage.
I have the foam to finish the belt and I order all new leather for the shield.
Anyway that's all for now banks for looking hopefully my next post will be the complete suit painted and damage up. Minus the belt I'm still waiting to see how the rest turns out to decide the color but I'm leaning towards a dark brown.

Ok so I've been really sick all weekend but the good news is that with nothing much to do I decided to do a little painting.
The white is 90% finished just some touch ups and the red needs one coat on the back of the armor. I still need to do some black borders and then I plan on airbrushing some details and then battle damage the entire suit.
