6 Foot Skydiver Build

Yep as soon as I have Cosford out if the way I will install the motors and the rest of the gear to at least have a surface running model.
 
Asking.. quite amazed! I knew you were rigging it for surface running but had no idea you were thinking of making is submersible!! Talk about better than the original! :) I want one (drool, drool)! :) Seriously, dude.. You put QMX to SHAME!!

You telling me or asking? :) :) First stage,,,Surface run. When thats ok then I may install some pumps/tanks. :D
 
Wooohh Apollo, lol. Maybe in a good few years time :) Today At Cosford RAF museum. What a shot, Phils Original Sky1 and My Skydiver together. Cant ask for better than that! :)

Seat and Pilot done, Pilot is a Tiger Joe Gunner as used on the original with the addition of Legs. Last pic In situ.

Yes, well I've tried to stay faithful to the original model by using the same figure and the same parts for the headrest, The original does not have an instrument panel at all so thats just made up. Seems to work well. Have to paint the figure now. Hate figures.
 
Painting done, not the best but then I hate doing figures (I'm no good at it) Anyway, couple of pics in situ. Well thats it for Sky1, unless I think of anything else. On to the Diver and jet install.

It's looking good for sure. Is there a part you don't like to paint in particular, or is it the whole exercise of painting a figure?
