You certainly cook up some great replicas in your kitchen.

That looks like an ESB trooper.

With the hand guards it's an ANH.

But the sniper plates look strange, you have both the sandtrooper style on one leg and the regular TK style on the other shin...
Also, the the regular TK one goes on the other shin and the "ammo boxes" on the other leg, if I'm not mistaken.

Project updates 16 Sep 2017 - RS armor assembly finished.

Well, it's only taken me two months. I still need to get another pair of rubber hand guards and a light weight blaster for the holster, a pair of canister clips, and figure out how to accurately dye the black boots white. Also, if I'm ever going to wear this I'll need to get another pair of thighs and biceps in my size.

The helmet details were hand painted with exception of the tube stripes which was a bad idea. I wish I had figured out how to paint them neatly by hand because the crappy vinyl stencils were not compatible with HDPE plastic and red oxide primer.

I had to weather the helmet a bit more than planned so the damage would stand out less.

This was the only way of getting the thigh armor on and off the mannequin. Tip of the hat to Sidewinder.

Great work, pure eyecandy, Marcus!
I can only echo, let us see all those tiny accuracies noone else wouldn't even think about let alone emulate! :p

Project updates 23 Sep 2017 - More RS armor pictures

Well, there's really nothing here that hasn't been seen before, but here are a few details.

The countersunk screws visible from the torso brackets, split rivets on left side.
armor25.jpg

3" elastic thigh straps attached to separate hidden belt.
armor26.jpg

Han style bicep hooks.
armor28.jpg

Vacformed hand guards now replaced with latex ones.
armor29.jpg

Shoulder bridge elastics (I need to replace them with a single tighter one).
armor31.jpg

Vintage boots now dyed white.
armor27.jpg

armor30.jpg

Vintage elastic and hooks for calf closures.
armor32.jpg

Real Sterling is too heavy - stretches the belt, so I'll need to get a lightweight one for display.

I see v8 parts and some bumpers...What was the big circle?

wait, was this a cast of a counter box?! *facepalm

=another V8 part!

It's a real counter. I still don't know what the two grated squares are though (bumpers are stand-ins).

I'm back for a little update. Sadly not much has been happening on the build front as nearly all of my ongoing projects need machined parts that never seem to materialize. Sometimes I feel like things are moving backwards!

Sigh...

Anyway, here are some recent acquisitions, works in progress, and upgrades... More to come!

Looks awesome!

Two questions. What did you use for the viewer on the Last Jedi Binoculars. They look great! And also, where did you get that little clip on the Kurtz saber (behind the shroud). I know its from wiper blades, but I haven't ever found one in metal or one that matches exactly.

Most of us have had to scratch build that part in the past. I used styrene for mine.

I had forgotten to scour eBay for the right camera for the Last Jedi Macros, of course I've been beat to it! What model was used? Is there a thread on them?

What's the other camera for? The first one...

Great work on the ND.621!

Looks like you used modern rifle sling attachments, and EL behind a transparency.

What did you use for the ribbed black greebie that wraps around both sides?

ive posted the little saber parts to you and sorry but I’m also waiting on the machine guy to get back to me, I feel the same when waiting for parts from the machinists, they seem not to bothered over the little people with little parts

I made the TLJ binoculars viewer from 3mm sheet styrene as best as I could based on the limited reference available in the movie. The whole build is temporary which I will re-do it once I know what it actually looks like. The rifle slings are what they used in the recent movies - Talon.

Took me half a day to make the Kurtz saber wiper blade clip from aluminium U channels with a hacksaw and files. I haven't been able to find anything matching either.
