ok here is the painted version of the TD-TS for the Sideshow Sandtrooper PF figure. TK-TS coming soon.
still working on the 1:1 scale. hoping to having the prototype done soon as well. staytuned

I love it! Sign me up for that Sandtrooper helmet. I don't know why SS did the helmet the way they did for that. Yours is perfect!

im still working on getting a painter to paint these, the one who did these won't be able to continue with the run. unless you have a painter who can do it for you?
i have unpainted copies readily available.

and YES, the helmet has the capabilities of turning it left or to the right as you can see in the images. i designed it that way.

Saddly, the one person I know & trust - for painting- just moved to AZ. Even though he says my painting is pretty good, I only see the flaws. So, I'll wait.
But, oh man, does that look good! :thumbsup

Om here is the TK-TS on my 1/4 scale Sideshow Stormtrooper PF. Next up 1:1 scale. hoping to have the forms made soon. will post an update here in the 1: 1 when available.

I think I saw your eBay listing for the 1/4 scale Sandtrooper helmet? I think? Are you listening on eBay? Anyway, I meant to ask earlier. It's for an unpainted helmet.
& now you have THIS beauty? Does this new one pivot & turn also?

hey, yeah thats me, i have the sandtrooper and i will be listing the stormy soon, want to have one of a painted version to show what it could potentially look like once painted. yes it turns as well. if you want one or even both shoot me a PM.

Oh man, you need to do a run of these babies on the "Project Runs"! I guess them being on eBay is good too though.
Your 1/4 scale Sandtrooper is perfection. How can Sideshow get their Stormtrooper/Sandtrooper helmets SO wrong? Even unpainted, which mine is (that's how they come), it's loads better than Sideshows. I already have mine on my Sandtrooper, & it's 1,000% improved.

All the details are there, & the weight of it is perfect. & now I can move the head too!

My one question is, what colors will I need to paint this piece?

your welcome Russell,
as far as the colors you'll need i would say an off white and sand color for the weathering? im not a painter. but do the best you can to match the colors that are already there on the staue, the original helmet will be a great guide for you to follow. that what my painter did for mine. if you scroll up you can see what he did. my advice to him and to you is to try and replicate the film used lemet. because thats what we did to try and replicate the stunt helmet on a symmetrical level. and as you can see , we achieved just that

as far as a Run, i do plan on doing one for the 1:1 scale version, but i do have the 1/4 scale available for both the TK and TD-TS.

Any chance for a 1/6 tk-ts helmet? I'm looking to replace the bobblehead on the 1/6 Bandai stormtrooper kit.

Dang it! Every time this thread is bumped up I get excited that it's the 1:1 show off post that I've been dying to see!!!

I've told soo many people outside of this forum about this project.

This is soo much better than the rogue1 design that it actually makes me sad... they just lost the "soul" of the design imho.

Pm me about a casting of the 1:1 when they are ready. Curious on cost... I've got 5 trooper lids already LOL.
