ROGUE ONE - Jyn Erso "Imperial Ground Crew" disguise

Built this for my wife. Debuted it at Celebration this past weekend. Only thing that is inaccurate is the flightsuit. Waiting to find someone to take a commission since neither of us can sew.

Really nice! How did you do the helmet?

Amazing !! You look great ! I'm looking for a new suit too. The cosplaysky don't look accurate, even doing modification. I think I'm going to make it myself at some point :rolleyes

I've finished new gloves this week-end. This time I used Leather dye fiebring's (chocolate) and dye reducer (last time it was a combo of medium brown eco gel and bison leather dye, it didn't really covered the leather, the gloves still looked yellowish on some indoor light. Now I don't have this problem anymore. It's dark brown)

Make sure to add that circle of stitching on the left glove if you're going for accuracy otherwise they look great

I've just came back from a convention near my home (Star Wars Generations - Cusset in France), here are some pics of my costume (not finish yet) and with an helmet ! :D

I've ordered one from Arnaud Miralles (french BCO of 501st), he's taking orders for the helmet(made in resin) and the armor(will be available soon in ABS). The armor design is from T5H (another member of the french garrison) his post and pics are above on this thread;) The one I'm wearing is not his, it's my Eva foam chestplate.

I noticed on the bonus disk that the lower mandible is removable.

I just scrolled up and noticed you posted pix of the helmet without it. :facepalm

Yes I've seen it too... but it's not a big deal for me, as I don't need to remove the mandible everytime I wear the costume (Jyn don't do it in the movie). I agree it's not exactly like the accurate helmet, maybe I'll change it one day. But I don't think it's necessary now.

Awesome thread here just have a question about the helmet if theres any back details im asking because i been working on one im worried if there is details in the back.20170629_134518.jpg20170629_134509.jpg

Posting here for user Blinknyrdead.

She decided to make this costume for a Comic-Con. She did an awesome job making the helmet, backplate, and wands herself, but ran out of time for the chestplate and used the 3D files I shared in post #134 for it. As you can see the costume turned out great even if not entirely finished.
This also gives you a better idea of what my 3D model looks like once printed. It's obviously much sharper than any vac-formed set, which from an accurcy point of view is a real betterment.

Hi there,
Time for a third version for my 3D files. Third you would say? Yes because I already did a stealth update to v2 few months ago but didn't advertise about it.
So what's new? Well, using the same reference pictures but a fresh eye, I managed to pick some new details for both the chestplate and the backplate. Size for those two parts has also changed, the backplate is now wider and the chestplate narrower. I also realized that the "found part" buckle isn't perfectly accurate to the screen-used buckle, so for better accuracy I did my own 3D model and included it to the files. They now also include the "Shoulder Straps" and "Side Straps" in 3D printable format (must be printed with flexible filament though), but also in blueprint form if you prefer to make them out of foam/leather/etc... Lastly I have also added the "OT Pilot TIE greeblies" to make the chestplate fully complete.

Some new renders:

(Link in the post #134 is also up-to-date)

As always, you can print these files for you and/or others, sell 3D prints made from these files, but I'm not allowing anyone to either sell the 3D files themselves, or to use them to make molds, vacuum-forming bucks or else.
Thanks for respecting that.

T5H.

Excellent work!

I'm curious, the renders are on an adult male model, what is the scale like for a petite female like Felicity?

Anyone been able to download the 3D files from the link? Everytime I try it comes up with an error.
I tried the link and it worked for me. Perhaps Google's servers were down when you tried.

For these renders I used a 5'2" (160cm) mannequin. It was my v1 so things have changed a bit since, but you get a good idea of the scale
