Bandai 1/72 PG Millennium Falcon (also the Revell Germany rebox)

Re: Bandai 1/72 Millennium Falcon

For those who are interested, I have uploaded the 3D file (stl) of the mount of my previous post.

(the link lasts for about a week)

I advise those who consider using this file to adjust the size of the hexagonal hole to suit the long-nut that you are going to use.

DISCLAIMER: I am not liable for any Millennium Falcons crashed (or whatever happens) by using this file (or whatever you do).

May I ask for what size thread or nut do you have your design setup for?

The long-nut that I used is M8 x 30mm. The outer dimension of nuts may vary depending on the manufacturer, so again, it is best to adjust the hexagonal hole prior to printing the file, to suit what you shall use.

Non-sense Haystack...I'm looking forward to your Falcon, that is if you intend to offer it as a kit? While the Bandai promises a lot, the prices I've heard about are pretty staggering. of course not knowing what yours might be or even if you will indeed offer a kit for us, I'm a believer in your hard work and a big fan of it. :thumbsup
Whelp........now my Falcon in progress feels very redundant.....

Not if you have no 3D modeling skills LOL:D Thanks again for sharing.

That Archive X paint I was talking about produced by our very own RPF member Guy Cowan is getting a great showcase on the PG Falcon over on FB

My mate John Simmons has primed his Falcon with Tamiya grey primer, to ensure that the Archive X Enamel paint has no ill effects,...& so far has had no problems

It really is the holy grail paint for the holy grail model

I can't stop drooling over his paint work

Re: Bandai 1/72 Millennium Falcon

The results Guy’s Archive-X paints seem to achieve are amazing, and I’ve not seen any negative feedback whatsoever. Just wish they were slightly more affordable as £12 per jar adds up pretty quickly. I’m sure it’s likely a fair price for what it costs him to produce it, so I just need to save my pennies after shelling out for the PG. It looks like it’s probably worth it.

Re: Bandai 1/72 Millennium Falcon

I seem to remember (please don't jump on me for my possibly poor memory), that the guys at ILM used Floquil Model Railroad colors for the 5-footer.
