Following - I have the exact same kit - and am just waiting on the electronics from Gerry - so I'll be interested to compare our progress along the way!
Cool, have you started looking at the paint colours yet?

For us non-Trekkies...
What are these 'electronics from Gerry'?
Are these kits? Complete ready to install?
Link?
Thanks!

Gerry or GMProps (ebayer https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/gmprop) sells the electronic kits that are ready to install that fit the Stapleton Productions kits.
Whoever steps into that role would have great trouble doing them at such high quality at those low prices...
Not sure of the prices before... but if someone is (was) doing them (I'm sure someone else could manage it as well)..
I dont know much about the Trek universe.. but I do electronics kits for runs here from time to time.
I'm sure its possible!
Yours is a bit of a lighter shade but I wouldn't worry too much about that. Its a fair bet that if you were to put two of the screen used props side by side they probably wouldn't match each other.
GM7173 could vary quite a bit in shade depending on the batch and how heavily the coats are put down. I have props that I painted myself out of a can that are a whole shade apart.

Actually they do match. I painted several of them myself so I should know
