Installed the hose and added a clamp inside the head to hold it so you can see it through the neck as on screen. I will pick up some black pinstripe tape and add the stripe around the PL-259 connector. I'm still working on ideas for the "comb" the prop department used to cover the mic HTM lettering. I sanded my lettering off, but I'd like to add this last little detail. I'm very happy with how 2-1B all came out and a BIG THANKS to Chris for a beautiful kit! Thanks for all the support and props guys, I appreciate it! - Chad
Well I was never happy with my "metal look" painting skills....I'm not good at it! Manny with Portumac Prop Studios has a beautiful metal solution that I've been communicating with him on since December 18, 2018 when I saw his post on spincast metal pieces from his Han in Carbonite thread. Well I bought 6 of each size of his pieces and they're beautiful and make Zorg's 2-1B droid even more perfect! Thanks Manny, it was entirely worth the wait and I appreciate your efforts! I highly recommend these pieces for ANY Star Wars build. Manny put these for sale in the Junkyard!
Here's my crappy painted plastic parts next to Manny's out of the box piece
Swapped one with the metal spincast piece

Weathered up and they look sweet, great addition - Thanks again Portumac Prop Studio and Manny!!!
So, yeah - this is still very much WIP, but I've gotten the neck all built out:
The wires run to the LEDs for the eyes and will be hidden within the display support rod that inserts and runs up the neck. I wanted some sort of internal neck structure in there to emulate the look of the something that is in there from the on-screen views. I have reference pics of the production prop from exhibit displays but none of them are great and none really show the details of all that internal stuff so I just 'guessed'. Still need to install the last of the little eye greeblies and the nose and internal neck hose and I'll call it 'good enough'/done...
Wow! I love the neck internals! What did you use?
I think it looks fantastic!!!
Mine is very much a work in progress as well. Still need to get the electronics, eye greeblies, neck, & hose & I'll call mine done-ish. I'm an incredibly slow builder. But I wouldn't be anywhere near where I am without the help & encouragement from HB1098S .
