Zombie Steampunk laboratory

hello all, i've been hiding a bit lately. Vacation, work, blah, blah, blah. But last week i walked into the room and my wife said, "Where is my Zombie Steampunk Laboratory?"

You may laugh, or wonder just what the heck my wife would be asking this for, but when I tell you that Halloween is upon us around here, you'll get the picture. In my house, this time of year is a big deal, so it's time to set The Smugglers Room aside, and get to work.

This year is a tall order. We are planning, as the title says, and I am a little more than intimidated by it. I am huge steampunk fan, but I have never tried to make anything of the genre. So for all you steampunk experts out there, please be kind:unsure, and i would like any advice you can give.

This thread will be dedicated to the entire "party project" and the items made for the event will then be included in our bar in the theater after.

For the first piece I have started the "Powered Liquor Dispenser" It is constructed from one of those tower liquor bottle dispensers that pour the shot for you. We have always liked it, but never really had a clever way to display it . . . until now.

of course i needed a little refreshment, and i figure what's better when working with steampunk, than a beer with gears on it:love

Some amazing work it looks great. I also like the crestron screw driver in the picture with the lager, go AV gear

I am beyond envious of your amazing greeblie stash... full on greeblie envy I must admit.

That is amazingly beautiful work. Pretty sure it has to pump worcestershire sauce to produce zombies.

Doc

Great work! I would say plumbing parts, lots of brass plumbing parts. How about setting up a baffle air pump for an air compressor?

Test tubes..... You need the shots in testubes.

YES!!!!! Considerate done!

Are there any limits to the things that you can do, and do so damn well. Looks awesome, not that I am surprised...lol

Wow man, I am humbled at that comment, thank you very much!!

Yes, I think you are right. And I have some plastic gears to spray and add as well.

A little update finally. The fall tends to be a tough time for my current projects, but the Halloween building is in full swing at my place. I didn't get too many progress shots, but here is where I am so far, enjoy!

As the title says, this is a Steampunk Zombie Lab, so these are the start of "Zombie Power Boxes" that will be part of the theme decorations. I do have some better photos that I will load tonight to give you all a better look at them. I made the body parts out of old clothes wrapped up tight and then painters plastic melted over the top, and then painted. I can shoot a quick video of how I do this if anyone is interested.

let me know what you think:

Re: Zombie Steampunk laboratory - Update 10/8/1012

The skull is a bit fake looking (maybe put a fake brain there instead of a skull?) the rest is amazing! That heart part is truly gruesome!
