I've been working on this for quite some time. It is my Zoidberg costume. Thus far, I just have the head. I haven't gotten the claws or the feet.

What I need is some advice on how to make the claws and the feet.

Here are some pictures of the head. It is made of poster board and chicken wire and paper-mâché. Tell me what you think.

Foamies? is that like Funky Foam?

They're thin foam sheets you can buy at Jo-Ann's fabrics and I'm sure in some other places.

I've been trying to make a Matt Groening character for years. They are really hard, especially because of the eyes. Seeing out of it is a chore. I took two of those clear balls from Hobby Lobby and put a quarter inside of them and spray painting them white. So I have about a inch and a half-worth of vision inside of it.

awesome!!! i see how foamies could possibly work for the hands. just sort of make a set of mittens out of the sheets? is that what everyone's thinking here?

There's crab claw oven mitts... they might be an easy starting point.
