Yub the Ewok

Finished Suit debuted and completed the evening of 6/14/13 at a Special Olympics Charity with the 149th Mobile Tactical Response Squad: The War Wolves from the Dantooine Base! Woot!

This is YubNub, the Ewok just being her cute big-little selfs! Yes, she runs on the large side(I'm 5'8 alone, without the suit on). Steroids in the water or the food, nobody really knows she just runs large. Just makes her more huggable and less portable. I'm sure, as cute as Ewoks are, they don't want to be kidnapped and hoisted over a shoulder to be taken home for their cuteness. At least...this one doesn't!

This suit runs HOOOOOT-HOT-HOT! Lot's of rolling sweat!

Took about a whole month to construct from start to finish. It probably would have taken less, but I like to take breaks since I have an abnormal amount of free time. I like to make sure I don't burn myself out or get so frustrated a project goes too long without being completed.

My official nickname is Taunewok, for I have a tauntaun, as you see in my user picture and an ewok, now as you see below.

Cool suit! Don't see too many Ewoks. Can you install some fans in there to help with the heat? I'd die in that.

Unfortunately, no, the head is too close inside to have a fan, really, unless I enlarge the head and make a pocket. I did make a huge pocket on to of the head for an icepack to where so it can cool my cranium while suiting, though. I forgot I was there, this time, even though I had an extra cooling pack to place there. I also have a neck cooler and extra packs for it, as well two cooling packs I place over my kidneys to stay cool. It is hot, don't ever doubt it. I wish this suit was as comfortable as it looks cute, lol!

You can get some really small flat squirrel cage style fans that you can attach to a square tube and 'pipe in' the air from a spot other then the mask itself.

Oh! I do have a neck fan. (Forgot about that) I have a neck fan I bought at walmart and my chin and neck are not covered by fur or foam. Just the hood covers that part and leaves some room for the fan to pull air in to keep me cool. However, I could mount a fan, also under my chin to keep me cool, as well as long as it had a frame to hold it up.
