... but I'd be very happy if you'd take the time to help me out a bit.
First things first: hello everyone!
I am new to this - both the RPF and sculpting - and hoping that some of you will be kind enough to answer a few of my questions (also, I am hoping that I posted this in the right forum - if not, I apologize).
I recently invested in the book "Pop Sculpture" by Tim Bruckner et al, and combined with the help of Google and the previous posts on this forum, super sculpey seems to be the most suitable material for me to start out with. But of course, I have to ask your opinion of that. I know everyone has different preferences, but as a beginner looking for an easy sculpting material, is this an alright choice?
Another thing is that I'm a bit confused about is the acrylic primer. So far, the only thing I've been able to find recommendations on is Gesso primer (or automotive primer, which I have no idea what is). Could I ask what primer brand you use? Any feedback will be much appreciated!
Other than that, I'm a Danish vet student, a gecko owner and a huge Adventure Time fan. I've already checked out a bit of the sculptures/artwork here, and I am stoked to get started!
