Your Highness Movie Trailer

What a coincidence, I was just about to finish thinking of you myself.

This movie looks ****ing hilarious.

Just got news of this trailer on another site and came here to post a thread and Bamm! it's already all over the internet.

I think a ton of DnD folks will be getting campaign flashbacks from this stuff. I am already.:lol

I really must be a stick in the mud. The crude humor just doesn't do it for me, and it looks like that's all the film has going for it.

Parts struck me as funny but i'm more of an airplane/naked gun humor kind of guy. Supre crude humor is all people do anymore.

I'm with you. I found this crass and unfunny......

I'll join this line. Looks like foul language is all this movie has going for it. People who make these movies need to watch Holy Grail before hand and see where the bar is. I realize many kids today have o idea who or what Monty Python are - but that only gives perfect opening to steal from Grail

Count me in the Otter/CC/Jet camp. Crude humour is great if it's actually funny. Shame they forgot that part. I didn't crack even a smile. Eh, maybe I'm just old and cranky.

It's something I would see, though I would also count myself in the group that didn't find the trailer that funny.
I must admit, I was taken to see Harold and Kumar go to Whitecastle and laughed quite a bit, though again, not at the very crude toilet humor.
Still, I hadn't expected to like it at all, so it was a pleasant surprise.

Maybe this will be the same.

I do like things like The Sopranos, where there is a lot of language and graphic violence, but I think it added to the realism. Sometimes it's hard to watch something serious when the protagonist says something like "Oh damn it, they just slaughtered my whole family in cold blood!" Seems like a colorful metaphor would be employed there.
Gratuitous nudity I am much more forgiving of. Not like Halle Berry in Swordfish, that was almost silly in how gratuitous it was, but even at that, it was a nice distraction from whatever the plot with the hacker was.

Were that to happen, I have two words for you:

Justifiable homicide.

No jury would convict me.

Good writers borrow - great ones STEAL. Grail is so ripe for the picking. Not the signature bits like "The knights that go - or Flesh wound", but the overall feel of the thing. When Cleese bursts into the wedding party and just kills everyone in sight. The idea of a group of dopes on a quest for all that is holy. I wonder if Highness will be as bad as Year One.
