Your biggest prop "MISTAKE"?

My biggest mistake would be my Tallpoppy Studios Charmed Book of Shadows. The artwork was the biggest letdown for me, looks nothing like the show. If I'd held off on buying it, I could have spent the £190ish on many more props. Like a Farnsworth! :D

When I painted my ANH Darth Vader helmet I was in a time-crunch as I painted it the week before packing up and driving to the San Diego ComicCon.

I had never tried the dry-brush method with the gunmetal, and I had sprayed the black on Wednesday or Thursday (before leaving the following Monday). On Friday after masking off the helmet I decided to spray the gunmetal, I was afraid if I messed it up I would not have enough time to repaint it. I also sprayed the gunmetal on the ANH armor.

A year or two later when I got more accurate armor I brushed on the gunmetal and I could not believe how easy it was. I've often thought of repainting the helmet but no one really notices except here. Bugs the crud out of me though.

My biggest mistake was buying an MR POTC compass.
For the price you would think it would have real wood and brass....instead it looked like a plastic toy.

This had me dying:lol I can see the T-Shirt: "I have a prop problem" with the RPF logo above it.

I'll go first.....

My name is Rich and I'm a propoholic.

I get alot of stuff on trade but so far anything I have lost the live for, I have been able to pass on.

The only thing I though " what the hell did I get that for" is a magneto helmet

Long time ago I bought a Vader "Mask" and it was pretty ****... At the moment I unpacked it, I put it for weeks away... The ebay member called it a prop but it was only a toy... I think 2 years later I throw it away cause nobody wants to buy it on ebay...

Also my HASBRO collection was a mistake... I bought the stuff many years and some day I thougt: "What in gods name am I gonna do with this now?!" and now I try to sell the things to Hasbro-lovers... If I think on the money I paied for the things and what I now get... :cry

Ive got a friend who wouldnt trade strait over for a Spiderman Pumkin Bomb, a real screen used hero for a licensed replica. I could go on and on about his spendings and silly investments but I dont want to make everyone cry from laughter.

I would say buying all there ICONS sabers and then made a naive attempt to defend them on the original AOL board. Now I know better! Of course I made $1,000 on the Luke and Vader and another $1,000 on the Obi Wan so I can't really complain!

Missing the MR Neuralyzer (saw it $1600 on ebay... I offered $200, but the guy refused)
... and the eFx ROTJ revealed Luke lightsaber....

Why the hell they are producing only 1000 or 2000 replicas ??????

Probably our screen used spartan. Didn't really purchase it as an investment, but after seeing prices fall pretty drastically, I can't help but be a little bummed that if we decided to sell it, it would be at a considerable loss. That is what you get for buying something when it is hot...

Yeah screw that 300 stuff

An automatic Delorean with black leather and flapped hood. So pretty everything is wrong.
So I decided to drive it and not using it as base for a time machine conversion... Damn^^

Hmmm....my biggest prop mistake...buying a crappy tricorder prop that wasn't even vacu-formed right...I later bought from a better dealer and I have yet to put the darned thing together...will need to get some more graphics and greeblies, but I think I can manage it :)
