After a little more chiseling I got out the dremel and started cleaning up the lines. I also filled some low spots with wood filler.

Well, at the very beginning I said this was going to be a quick and dirty build for comic con. I'm starting to think I should have saved myself a lot of pain and frustration by making this out of PVC pipe. Oh well, maybe next one.

Not bad for a first go.
I think PVC pipe and plastic are generally much easier to shape and get clean lines from. Are you going to put LED lighting in your sceptre?

If i can. I'm having a hard time finding a translucent blue bulb that is to scale with what I already have made.
