Yeah, it was kind of the beginning of the bathroom humor that dominates the media now. Really don't know if that's a good thing or not. But I did like it at the time.

Sadly it's not going to happen. I read an interview about that a few years back. Because of the enormous size of the cast the royalties financially prevent any kind of release. I think that's why you can't find it on TV anymore either. Every once in a while I'll go watch an episode on youtube, though.

I'm actually surprised by this. These kids must have had some smart managers and parents I guess. Most actors back then never thought much about royalties and syndication when they negotiated their contracts.

Les Lye, great multi-talented sketch actor from that show, doing all the adult male roles. Its a pity he passed on a few years ago as he was FUNNY! The Barth sketches I was never crazy about, but the firing squad, camera guy and prison sketches were always a laugh and a half. For those that have never seen YCDTOT, picture it as like a 1970s and 80s kid version of what made "Laugh In" famous in the 60s for the adults (i.e. short sketch comedy). In a lot of ways it had that kind of humor. The Canadians got away with A LOT of stuff in those days!

If they ever did a sitcom, would people get water dumped on them if they say "water" or the classic green slime if they say "I don't know?"
