Just got a new labtop the other day. It has POWER DVD DX on it that gives more lines on DVD movies to HI DEF. Watched ESB and its so crystal clear I can see the wiskers on Yoda's face. I'm sure Blue Ray is clearer ,but this is close enough. So far the revelation of details is astounding.

Anyhow, to get back to the point of this thread, I noticed his necklace and the cord is NOT a cord. It seems to be braided leather. Can anyone confirm this and tell me where I might get braided leather like this? Can't tell, but it looks to be black, but could be dark brown.

I have the entire wookie groomer 1080p set of the OT. It is not braided rope. It is plain dark brown leather chord in ESB. About 4mm thick. You think you see details in a uprez dvd, ha! You can see bits of flashing in yodas eyelids in the 1080p version.

Thank god for the wookie groomer leak. It cleared up a lot of prop legacy questions for the fans. If not for this set, folks would still be in the dark until summer of 2011 to sort some of those questions out. Imagine an EFX vader without that fan knowledge. Yikes!

Also people will not agree with me on this but if you buy the pan and scan versions, you will get more lines of detail for the image since they cropped off the sides. It's like owning the blueray with the edges cut off. At least the KMPlayer dvd caps are close in quality to the bluray- um except for the sides being chopped off. I was using the pan and scan versions for study before getting the groomer set and I have both pan and scan and widescreen DVD versions of the trilogy. Hard to explain why this is true but it is. I got in a big duke em out with a movie critic over this. I used to buy pan and scans and wides for all my study ref films. Until moving over to bluray.

Thanks for the reply. That helps alot. I'll have to look again. Are you sure it's not braided? Some shots there seems to be texture like it's woven
