Yeah I know yet another rubies DL-44 conversion

But I like it....

It's not a revalation nor a breakthrough in technique but for my clumsy, unprofessional, amateur hands it's come out okay by my standards...I'm particularly pleased with my first attempt at wood effect painting and the misting on the flash suppressor, oh and of course my scope!! I love the scopes me :D

thanks for looking and sorry if I've clogged up this fine forum with my hacking attempts!

of course if anyone has any advice or criticisms...(bearing in mind I know it's not supposed to be screen accurate to the letter)

:thumbsup Excellent work as usual, Herr Baron. I've done a few Rubies mods myself (got one currently listed on the Bay of E) and they don't need that much work to make them look half decent. I posted my first one here a few months ago:

The fact that the barrel and front end of the scope are moulded in one piece is the only real problem.

Keep up the good work.

I only have one piece of advice... please dispense with the false modesty! ;) That's a most compentent conversion, I'm impressed. Grips are really well done, and I like what you did to the scope!

I like it. :)

The toy guns today are great (many models, electronic sound, better shape), much better than the ones when i was young. I still own my first release Kenner Solo Blaster, and i still love it .... but it´s shape is so far away from the real deal ....... this is truly another level.

And your work makes it shine even more. :thumbsup

That's really cool! I know that Spirit Halloween tends to stock them, when they open up around September.

Baron, how did you do the scope? Looks great!

the scope is a closely gaurded secret of mine...mainly cos I just wing it each time..finding bits, glueing them and voila! this one was just 3 old lens that just happened to fit in a fashion that made it appear to have depth, some silver foil and a random bit of plastic ring that just happened to fit into the existing scope. The front is easy ; just a domed crystal sticker but with yet another random bit of telescope or something over the top :D
