Yeah, it's hard to find the stuff in larger widths than a foot. Bah humbug. I may be settling for just textured yellow fabric if nothing else pops up.

I just emailed Seattle fabrics in hopes they may have a better answer. If they can ID the dark blue waffle weave as well as the thick yellow cordura type fabric. When I get a response, I'll fill you guys in.

Hey i love the new x-men suits and have been researching the material as much as i can

Amongst finding this helpful forum, i found an inteview for a magazine, which states.

" So they’re faithful to the original comic’s blue and yellow, made with ballistic nylon."

Has anyone found a good photo of Magneto in costume. I know it's only a 10 second shot, but surely someone has one!

Not a huge fan of this particular design solution but it's fun to see the attempt.

Maybe some big leather bracers would sell it as complete costume. Something just seems to be missing to his look. A better way to attach the cape at least. Looks like crumpled snuggie blanket wrapped around his neck from the front.

Since there seems to be leather trimming throughout all the suits. I want say it's leather ribbing around Erik's collar.

Think Vanson would do a custom suit? There's a few that look similar, and they use Cordura textile. Bottom left sketch looks close

On the same token though, I think you'd have to fetch the special hardware for it.
