X-men: First Class costumes?

The only thing the Kayak suit has in common is the color scheme. If I were you, Jleezy, I'd ask David Pea from UD Replicas if he has any interest in actually reproducing these suits and adding them to his collection.

Hey Drool,
I just saw your PM about these suits.
Personally and as a fan...I LOVE them. Great designs, awesome transition from the comics....and brilliant use of textures and materials combined.
That said, we do not have any agreements in place with Marvel for X-Men: First Class....so there are no plans to introduce these character suits in our standard 'Movie Replica' motorcycle suit product line.
While we have a large catalog of Marvel properties, the First Class film is not one of them, sorry.

Oh no. :(
I forgot the logistic side of that matter. I was so quick to believe since you had a contract with Marvel it would have been easier, but for each film comes a new contract.
Is that something you can pursue, or do you have to wait and hope they call?

just saw the movie, and boy was it awesome! definitely the best x-men movie, or rather, the best marvel movie made so far. storyline was great and directing was perfect. kudos to matt vaughn. damn i cant stop raving about this movie. but it was really fantastic. no ending after the credits though.

Still need more close up pics for every fabric on the entire suit(s). In some shots, Charles' yellow material looks like layers of mesh but Erik's looks like the 2015 jacket material and Mystique's closeup looks like zig-zag weaved oxford fabric.

I posted this like on pg 2 or somethin-this yellow is nearly 20 bucks a yard, but looks good... The red would look nice on a 2015 jacket too haha

That link only shows bumpy neoprene. Sorry, it looks nothing like the yellow texturing on the new battle suits. Maybe if they reversed the mold to see indents instead, it would look more accurate.

I am really liking the color scheme. I generally hate yellow in pretty much any medium, but I feel like they used a somehow muted yellow in these suits, yet its still vibrant without being overpowering. Not sure how they did that but I like it.

More fabric texture reference-

I know that I've seen the dark blue nylon with the grid pattern before. I think my wife might have a jacket or something with the same testure.

Seeing the movie today, can't wait!! Good work with the search for materials so far guys, i'm gladd you're all contributing and that I'm not the only one interested in this cosplay!

the film is awesome. with the exception of January Jones inability to act, but atlest shes pretty and good to look at. It has brought it back for the X-men franchise, X1 was watchable, X2 abit better, X3 what a joke, and Wolverine doesnt even qualify as film, First Class brings it all back, high fives all around. I look forward to seeing the outcome of some of the costumes.

I was afraid January Jones might be a one role actress. She's cool on Mad Men but I'm afraid that's the only persona she can play. Is she going to be the X-franchises new Halle Berry? :)

Looking at the blue fabric, I think it is probably a "ripstop nylon" of some sort. The rectangular pattern keep tears from continuing and was developed in WWII to replace silk parachutes.

The trick is going to be finding the right one with high relief texture to the weave.
