So I was talking to my friends the other day and turns out they all hated TASM 2 and think DOFP is the best comic book movie someone has ever made. I strongly disagree. I really think eventhough it was good, DOFP had a TON of problems. They didn't explain how Xavier is still alive and in his own body or how Shadowcat got the amazing and totally different power of sending minds back to the past and, even if the Quicksilver scene was the best scene in the whole movie, how come Magneto had time between beign in Europe and in prison to had time to concieve Quicksilver. I really think it was something like "oh so Marvel wants to use OUR Quicksilver and we can do nothing about it? Well, we'll make the most lovable and amazing Quicksilver in this couple of scenes. How do you like that?"
TASM 2 on the other hand was, in my opinion, a very strong film. It was finally the Spider-Man I've always wanted to see: fun and lovable yet tragic and deeply sad sometimes. It was faithful to the comics and they killed off Gwen, a very bold move since we have not seen any important character dying on any other superhero movies, Avengers included. Had its flaws, like the incredible cartoonish and ridiculous interpretations of Kafka and Rhino but, to my opinion, it was the best Spider-Man movie yet: fun, deep and packed with action.
So that's my opinion, what do you guys think?
