X-28 Psycho Blaster from Futureman

So, I decided a little while back to make an entire cosplay of Wolf from Futureman (Hulu show). I am working on the outfit he wore in the very beginning of the show for maybe all of 15 minutes.

As such I became interested in recreating the psychoblaster prop from the show. A plasma firing gun, with a saw blade strapped to the top with leather cord. I have been able to create parts for this as needed, 3d print and resin cast some core bits for lighting but am stuck on this (what I believe) key component. In the show it does absolutely nothing, but is strapped to the side of any future weapon on screen. Not just this one. And they are in varrying lengths, and I believe is a piece of found hardware. I don't think it's a created piece. So I'm looking for others' expertise who may have seen something like this.

It's a silver tube with holes in the side. It has a black (plastic?) Cap on one side, and a very purposeful looking electrical connector on the other. I'm almost thinking the blue led glow may be an actual part of the piece too. The white connector has a channel on the side which looks like something you'd use to plug and unplug it which is reminiscent to me of a 12v bulb socket from some cars, or something similar in nature. I believe all the wiring coming out of it may actually be wiring for the connector. I'm not sure.

Eventually if I can't find it I'll just break down and make it but since I found the actual base for this gun, which is an airsoft 40mm hand grenade launcher, I thought it would be cool to source the real deal if it was possible, so I turn to the masses for help. This is what I have so far, and next need to make the rails less "tactical" but I don't want to do that just yet in case whatever this piece is slips into a gun attachment loop or something:

Things I have tried looking at:
Laser sights, tactical flashlights, burning lasers, led drop pendants, fish tank heater, fish tank lights, pool thermometers, shotgun microphones, paintball gun barrels, vape pens, and have even tried searching for what kind of connector that is. It seems too used in the show to be custom, but I could be wrong. Below are some pictures I have of it. And the same part on another weapon, which I am not making but the part looks exactly the same but longer.

I actually just finished this prop finally. The tube I wound up just drawing and 3d printing. Maybe sometime In the future I can find the real deal. Video above.
