X-23 Claws (Wolverines Female Clone) - Finished!!!

Hey Guys,

Well a project of mine is finally coming to an end, just got a few bits to work out and then they will be done!!!

So i decided, to attempt some X-23 claws.

I initially made a single claw from styrene, and then began to mould and cast (for the first time ever), which took a few attempts but i finally managed to get a good cast.
So i've been casting like mad, and finally at the beginning of the week, i had four claws, cast from resin, with a 50% aluminium mix.

I've sanded and polished (although i still need to polish each one a little more) and work out some way of fixing two of them to some kind of block for each hand. (I'm simply holding them between my fingers in the pics, so they don't look too in line with my arm at the moment!!!)

So on with the piccys, please let me know what you think.

My idea is to mount them on my X23 print, Shown at the bottom.

Erm.....no just the hand claws at the moment!!
I cant convince the wife to go for the full costume!!!

I primarily made them purely for display on the print.

Use mothers mag and aluminum polish to get a nice shine.

Well i polished a few claws up, and they have came out fantastic, much better than i expected, and i have came up with a hand holding bracket, which i will also use for mounting....pics tomorrow!!!!!!

Well, i've finally finshed this project.

Mounted the claws last night, and i am very pleased with the results.

Hey all,

I may offer a run of these claws should there be an intrest, in two versions, the double X23 blade, and a comic book wolverine version, same claws but three of them on each hand.

Hey, well never did get around to producing any casts for sale.
Thank you all for your comments and interest.

I may re-visit the mold and see what i can produce, the main issue i had was pulling both claws together into a hand hold device, i'd like to refine the design before i offered any for sale, watch this space!!
