WTH!!?!?! Triceratops skull!!!

Hey Guys and Gals,

I rented AVP-R again tonight as backround noise for some painting i'm doing on another project. Anyway, one of the first opening sequences of the pred drop ship...shows the one predator cleaning some skulls with his back to us in a chair. Well, it starts out as a wider shot and zooms in...on the upper left part of the trophy wall is what is CLEARLY a triceratops skull, with one main horn busted off.

A "funny" by the writers/art dept., or something else the Fox execs thought would be cool?

Otherwise that means the Preds have been A) traveling through time, or B ) hunting on earth for at least 65 million years.

Either way it was cool.

I like the second one I think that would be more like it. But both does seem cool. I didn't pay any attention to the skulls in the movie. I think I will have to look at it again.

It would be pretty damn cool to see a garage kit with a Pred either fighting a dino or carrying a trophy skull, or perhaps adorned with dino bones armor or something.

well who says its a triceitops? it looks like one but it could be from antoher world. There was a t-rexesque one in P2.

Someone did.. a Pred fighting a T-Rex. But like usual I can't find it. lol. I'll keep looking.

That was probably one of those situations where one writer says "Hey, wouldn't it be cool if...?" And instead of being beaten, he get's a "Sure! Lets do it. The movie will be too dark for anyone to tell, so who cares?" response. And I guess while they were at it they just kind threw in a bunch of random **** while they were at it. Some cool looking pieces, and some not so much. Who cares, it was all digital anyways.

Hi all

The large skull in the trophy display in P2 looks like the creature out of the film 'Titan Find.'

Could be as Alec Gillis was working for ‘The L.A. Effects Group Inc’ back then, he either had the skull or remembered if as being a partically nasty creature and a good one for a predator to hunt.

Hmmmm...why do they always give female predators nipples?? Or boobs for that matter. As if a pred mouth is equiped to use a nipple...lol. Obvious what gender of artist is responsible for most of the pred concept art, drawings and sculpts out there lol. Apparently we men can't seperate our horniness from sci-fi.

I think it was the same purpose it P2 with the italian gun the elder gives at the end. But now it's really different time scales.

I can refrain from thinking of the honour code post and ask myself: why are human skulls the only ones not to be demesurate and threatening. All others are bulky and have dangerous teeth/tusks as if the came from wild monsters (such as dinosaurs).
