Writer Ryan Condal - was he the same guy who was a RPF member?

Ok maybe I'm nuts, but I seem to remember someone saying that the Ryan Condal who was a RPF member years ago (still?) was the same guy who is the screenwriter. So am I nuts or is it the same person? I was watching the Game of Thrones prequel and saw the name again and I remembered someone by that name here.
