World War Z - Boot ID Help

Can anyone ID the boots that Captain Speke is wearing in World War Z?

I have a poor photo of his boots, and I think they are Oakley Assault boots.

However, which style? They look like the old SI, but could be the new style.

Whats the consensus, I've made a comp pic of them.

I would agree 6" or 8" Oakley SI or knock offs. Oakley is the only company I know of using that midsole and ribbed toe cap. The sneaker like military boots made by Lowa, Danner, New Balance, Converse and 5.11 look very similar to cross trainers at the midsole.

They now have a new style out. Any idea when they new style came out? Presumably after they started making WWZ?

Those appear to be the older. I'm not sure when the changes happened exactly.

I've had two pairs of the 8" boots. The first pair (2007-ish) I had were horrible on wet floors, like going to the mall on a rainy day. The new pair I got last fall are the new style but don't have the problems on wet floors.

I pretty much only wear Oakley boots. I can't tell if they are older or newer, but in my 8" military versions (basically the same you would find in the Oakley stores minus the really obvious "O" or triangle) look almost the same. That is mine fro. 2008 or 2009 and my 2013 ones.
