Working with Gelatine moulds

If I wanted to make some gelatin moulds could I do the following ok

This mainly concerns Palpatine's forehead

I plan to make this bulbous part in 2 halves that come down and sit under my eyes and sit ontop of my hair line and meet in the middle

Now then my question is, due to the stretchable/pliable nature of gelatin would it be possible and can I get away with making the moulds for those 2 halves on a flat tray and then stretch and glue the cured gelatin pieces to the contour of my face

OR

Do I have to make the gelatin mould the exact same shape as the face piece it will attach to? i.e. a deep mould that follows my exact forehead and eyebrow shape

You should be ok with flat sculpts. I'm making a gelatin chin prosthetic for a project I'm working on now and I'm not using any particular life cast just a basic chin shape.

cheers dude. I thought so but just wanted to be sure before wasting any time on it :lol
