Working with Cracked Vinyl

I actually posted this elsewhere but was wondering if anyone here had any additional input. I recently acquired a DP Royal Guard helmet and plan on fixing it up, or making it into an entirely new project. Is there any material (i.e. Bondo) that can be used to make the repair? If not bondo, maybe some sort of heat induced method? This is my first post so any help is highly appreciated!

Probably Ca or Epoxy, Bondo will just pop off of flexed.
For surface work maybe Magic Sculpt or Aves Apoxy Sculpt.

All these items are used with vinyl model kit assembly so should work with the helmet.
