Wookie Jaw Mech (need help)

Hello All,
I have a Wookie Kit that I bought from Duck over a year ago and although I'm happy with the outcome I just can't seem to get around making the jaw work. (see diagram below)

I've tried to use the dense foam method as explained above, but the pressure point to move the jaw is at the very bottom, and since the jaw is hinged and will only swing at an angle of 90 degrees. Using dense foam simply will not work . Any Ideas???

In the drawing it looks like the hinge turns around the same point as the wearer´s jaw. Is that true for how you wear your mask as well? Maybe moving the pivot point of the jaw back a bit might help with the movement.

This is made to general specs ( head size, jaw) the padding will allow for jaw function and that is based on the size of you head. You can not alter the jaw.
