THANKS for posting those.

Now I finally have some good pics of my big Discovery.

That JQ SST was waaaay cool with gear down.
Guess I had better get that mold back up.:love

WOW :eek :eek !!! Absolutely AMAZING work done there!

Fantastic job anubispro on the Discovery model. How long is that thing?
And does anyone know how big the Galactica is? That looks huge too.

I'm with trvann, I've wanted a Great White since Jaws. There was a tiger there too I would love to get.

Many thanks Johda for sharing the pics.

THX.
The "Big D" is about 11' loooong.

I built the patterns for the engine section and the command sphere.
Randy Cooper and another artist did the rest.

nice pics!

Anyone know what is the model behind the 79 and 80 pics of the dealer romm section? that's an interesting design!

The Great White was on Acme Design's table and is about 4ft long! I believe it was going for $600 at the show.

The models at Wonderfest this year were just plain staggering in their variety and all the amazing talent exhibited. Mega-kudos to all participants!! The 2001 models and costume props were surreal. What scale was the 11' Discovery? It was very difficult to photograph because of it's length, and the large black rectangleular column next to the table...

(note to self, next time, do NOT lean against large black rectanglular column next to 2001 display to get better photographic angle)

...and that Galactica... Ho-Lee-Frak!!! I would build a room onto my house just to display that. So, what's next, a similar sized "reimagined" Galactica? :)

The show was, in a word, inspirational. Now if I can translate any of that into actual physical results, I'll have something to enter for Wonderfest 2009!

Love some of those Godzilla Models. The one breathing fire is
just awesome.

The Godzilla was trashing the White House and the chopper he was blasting was Marine One. There was a small figure of Bush being blown out with the explosion.

And one person complained about it.

:rolleyes

Nevermind it was AWESOME! The fire was actually lit from inside.

How'd they know it was Bush? I couldn't read the nametag at that scale! (the fire effect was stunning!)

IIRC, its 1/32
Captain Cardboard/Atomic City can confirm this.

It was probably by the stupid look he had on his face at the time. LOL.

It was nice to see the American Godzilla displays too. The one with the
white house, looks like the builder took some liberties on the American Big G
and gave him more recognizable spined on his back. Looks much better than
the purple pointy ones he had in the film.

look at the flying winged muscle lady in pic 10, I was talkin to the dude that does those models and he said want to see somethin cool, then he opened her head in for places, The crown flipped back the sides flipped down and the top flipped forward to reaveal a brain of wires and circuits, it was amazing, he made the hinges from eye glass hinges that he filed down, it was stunning because just from looking you would never have know that it opened. FLAWLESS
