Wonder Woman's sword Prop

My daughters tell me I never do female prop so here is my second "girl" prop. I really like the look of the sword so I hope you guys like it also. When I started this I was not sure how it was going to turn out, I guess as my skills develop I just get bolder and bolder...enjoy!

First I did the design on paper then it was traced on to craft foam.

Molded the foam

Then sculpted the wings

Put everything together and sanded the seems

Some sanding and primer

Found a handle I liked so I used that instead of making one.

It all comes together

I did not like the bottom so I changed it and added some color...not sure if i should go red on the handle.

Looks great so far! What kind of blade are you going to use? For what it's worth, a leather wrapped handle would look even better.

I'd personally not go red with the handle, but I would attach some rhinestones to the sections that look like they have little gems.

You can also leather wrap the handle, that would look pretty cool!!!

Thanks guys! Now on the color of the handle I guess that will be up to the individual but on the leather handle that might be something I will do later. I'm thinking that for cosplayers it would be fine the way it is because they don't have to worry about it in a convention if you know what I mean. Hydin you were saying putting gems on it, but where are you talking about?

Dude, that came out really nice. What is the measurement from wing tip to wing tip? I think I'm gonna have to build one for my DC Archive prop collection.
