Wolverine's Jackets

Manits - that would be great for an X1, but for an X3 their existing waistline is just about perfect... the X3 is a little longer in the torso.

LRunner - Sorry dude I don't have their email anywhere, everything gets cleaned out auto on stuff older than I month, and I didn't save it...
I think if you do the ask seeler a ? on ebay you'll get their email in the response.

Geez, that was tough... Can't believe I couldn't remember that one.
BTW Gman - that leather should be on it's way to you in the morning...

Thanks for the info.
Just send the email about 2 min ago, I'll check and see if they replied somtime tommorrow. :)

Well, I FINALLY got my P&D X1 jacket in. Overall, it's a nice jacket. I requested the stitching around the collar and down the sides of the zipper be left off, which they did, but given the nature of the pockets on the front the stitching can't be left off around the those. I'm not as particular about the acuracy as some are, so it's not a huge deal for me.

Regarding the fit... like a glove. ;) I have pretty wide shoulders and long arms, broad chest and a small waist so I've always had a hard time with getting jackets to fit me without looking like a tent... they did a great job with the measurements I sent. Fits great in all the right places. :) The only drawback, somewhat, is they are a little slow with the turn time and shipping. Not the worst I've had but not the greatest either. HOWEVER, no where NEAR the nightmare is sounds like Vanson's turning out to be.

Bottom line, if you want a Wolverine"ish" jacket and don't want to pay a lot, P&D is the way to go.

I'm at work right now so I won't be able to take pics until tonight. I'll post them tomorrow. :)

Alright everyone, I'm pretty happy with the reply.
Not going to get my hopes too up until I see some actual pics though, basically I just talked to P&D about what changes should be made to the X3 jacket etc, and I didn't even bother bringing up that I thought the leather was off, but they brought it up for me. No sense in posting what I emailed to them as its basically what you guys told me to say with like 4 pics to show what I meant, like the stripes going half way around, the spacing of the stripes, and the back of the jacket.

Thank you so much for been interested in our products we will make the changes you tell us and also we will try to make the jacket in anew leather similar to the one on the movie.

Thanks again and any comment will be appreciate

That sounds pretty good LR. As nice as it is for the price, the stripes always nagged me on the PD X3 jacket. I guess because it was so close, but that was the only major detail that was really off. But if they change the color too, that would be even better.

Yeah, I think they said it could be around $230 depending on what jacket you order from them, if you buy direct. So I don't know if $230 is how much it would cost for that paticular jacket or what, because I remember someone mentioning that we could get them for $160 if we ordered direct.. hmm

That was only if we got together an order of 10 or more LR... and they'd have to get the first one correct first. They didn't get my first one correct, that's why I gave up on dealing with PD after all that work for unsatisfaction.

I think PD will not get it right... that is the problem. PD jackets are made decent in quality, but they are not the caliber jacket that Wested makes. And Wested's X1 with no stripes at all on it is still more accurate than PD's X3 version.
There are just too many changes PD has to make to that X3 to even get it close... The sleeves are wrong in the way they are seamed together, the zipper sections on the sleeves and chest are wrong, the back of the jacket is wrong with all the seams, the stripes are wrong, and the leather they use is way off.
I made three small changes in photoshop to the Wested to make it an X3; moving the chest zippers down 4 inches, rounding the collar, and altering the stripes. The pattern for the Wested is already extremely close to the way the X3 is done from the start. The only detail to make it spot-on would be to put the faint stitch line from the front and back of the collar down to the point on the shoulder...but that is something simple that can be added later and is very trivial.

I don't expect P&D to get it right, but its worth a shot.
They mentioned changing the back, arm strips, and the leather in their email to me, but I won't believe it till I see some actual pics.

I hope PD comes up with a good pattern for you... I'm going to stick with pushing Wested for an X3, hopefully if others interested in an X3 do the same they'll cave and start spitting them out in time for Halloween.

Yeah, the wested if modded like that will def look better. Is this a custom job just for you or are you trying to get them to mass produce for everyone?
At this point I'm just waiting to see what both come up with because P&D wants somthing like $260 and if Wested will make an X3 I think I'd rather go with theirs..

Trying to get it as a standard model for everyone to have available from Wested... Looks like they plan on doing it now, just not sure on how soon they'll have it out. They're supposed to notify me when they're ready to offer it.

Sounds good, how much you think it'll cost?
I'd estimate it to the be about as much as the X1 version, maybe a little less, but I have no idea how to convert £ to American.

Well, to add to the demand I just emailed Wested this morning and requested an X-Men 3 version jacket....as long as it was accurate. Here's to hoping they get it right.
