Yes, they said 8 weeks (crossing fingers). And I asked the guy specifically "Do you have the leather in stock?" He told me that they did indeed. SO I'm hoping that my process goes smoothly. I might call them on Monday just to check the progress. Mainly because the down payment, $279 or something like that, hasn't been debited from my account yet. I ordered by phone and not really sure what their method is for taking an order, but it can't hurt to follow up and make sure my order is correct. Hope you get your jacket soon, Guntahkela.

Absolutely.

I've waited a couple years already what's a few months.

I hope we'll get to see pics before any money exchanges hands. I know Wested are good folks but you know how things are in this crazy hobby of ours.

Don't forget to ask them if they'd do an X3 version, its pretty similar to the X1. There will prob be a lot more ref pics out by the time they can possibly get started..

Most likelly, with the new X-men movie, they figured orders for this jacket would be on a rise again, so they restocked their leather supply.

PROGRESS, folks, PROGRESS....Wested is almost done with their pattern based on the pictures and measurements and details sent...they are sending me leather samples and colors to make sure they are spot on.

I saw that new members seem to finally be allowed, so I thought I'd bump this in case the guy who was originally going to make this jacket joins and wants to post about his that is being made.
-Also, any leads on this X3 jacket... yet?

Quick Vanson update:
They said my jacket will be ready in about 1 week and 1/2.

Yeah, I jumped on that registration already, thanks for the heads up though...the admins sent me a notice once it opened up, so that was cool.

Waiting on how the last bunch of changes got worked out by the place doing my X1 version.

If/when that comes out correct I'll go ahead with getting them to do an X3 version...
