I have no idea... He said when he called the guy sounded like he was in a bad mood...
[/b]

When I called WB to find out about the LW4 jacket, the guy was great. Same when I called Fox in 2001 for the Vanson, they even told me the label said Boston, Mass. When I called Fox about the X2 jacket and the Minority Report jacket, they said they were there but it didn't have labels in them. Who knows, maybe they didn't. When I called a few weeks ago, I couldn't even get an answer from the extension wardrobe routed me to(archives, I assume). And of course, they didn't respond to the voice mail. I don't know why it's gotten that way, they used to be really helpful. Maybe they don't want any reproductions running around. K

just fyi, the minority report jacket was made by the same people who made the original indiana jones jacket. Wested.

Those Thailand/Singapore ones are trash. I can't even begin to tell you all the inaccuracies of that one.

The X2 suits David made were quite a bit more than $400 but are indistiguishable from the screen used suit. Well worth the cost IMO. I've gotten a lot of enjoyment out of mine. In fact I'd go as far as to say that it was the single best purchase I've made in my time in the hobby. I can't say enough good things about it.

I would second that in a heartbeat. After I saw and tried Jason's on, I fell in love with it, bought one for myself that ended up to be too big :( (sold it shortly)

No less, I have seen the originals in person and David was so close that it was SICKENING. I had to call him while I was at FIDM to congratulate him on how right on he was in his design down the correct piping ..

Not originally, they just make a replica. I emailed them to see when MR came out because of their involvement with the first two Mission Impossible movies and was told by Peter himself they didn't do that jacket. Still don't know who made the original. K

Hey Goat,

Very nice of you to say. Much appreciated and you certainly wear it well my friend. We're getting zillions of emails for this outfit. Not to mention Cyclops and Iceman but the truth is there are so many of them that most just end up getting deleted rather than replied to. It was a great project to do, one I personally am very proud of and I'm thrilled to know you still enjoy it now as much as you did from day one. :)

I'd say DavidYR1 is the right man for the job. After the overwhelming research he goes throug to get intricated jackets made, this jacket should be a walk in the park for him. He should take on this project and bump it to the front, as his other projects continue with the research.[/b]

Thanks JC.
Unfortunately with our current work load we just cant insert anything new into our line up. Emails for this street jacket have started pouring in as well. Seems like it's destined to be one of the more 'desired' street garments.

I dont think so, but who really knows.. Hopfully there will be pics of the prototype from the guy doing them in about a week.

keep us updated if you do another run David . btw- are you doing DCon this year?
[/b]

No Dragon Con this year. We're booked for a show here locally (Toronto) that coincides with DC weekend so sadly...no DC this year.
However....the show here will be pretty cool..2 separate display areas for us. One static for photos and another for demos, interacting with the public....usual Con stuff.

Back on topic....LOL..

I wont be doing another run of those suits. We've simply moved on from past projects. Some have been delayed such as the BTTF2 Marty jacket while others like the X2 suit are part of our catalogue history of screen accurate creations from scratch. It's one of the projects I'm most proud of, but no longer going to be made or offered.

Aw, man. This is very sad to hear as I was going to contact you soon about an Iceman suit :cry

Aw, you suck. I so wanted an Angel costume. Same thing as the wolverine, different pipping color. I really hope you reconcider later in the year, being this the Year of the mutants and Superman. You could even do a few improvements to your originals.

It's the X-men, man. This project deserves to be revisited.

Come'on. DAVID. DAVID. DAVID. DAVID. DAVID. DAVID..

Just got off the phone with Vanson about my street wolverine jacket ordered in September of last year:

They said the jacket is already in production. It appears in the system, so that means they had started it.

It happens that someone who ordered his Wolverine jacket before me just received his. They said the leather for this jacket, MI9, is difficult to get. I said, "does MI9 stands for "Mission Impossible to get this leather? type 9""

I guess it's a matter of weeks now.

OK, so it sounds like vanson might be back on track with this jacket. I've been puting a little cash aside for a while now in anticipation of the cheaper alternative...this was while it looked like vanson might not come through. So I guess my question is should I go for the Vanson and hope that they don't run out of this 'rare' leather? Mantis says he has ordered 3 before with no problems. Maybe I'll wait to see how well the new replica version comes out and then decide.

I just can't believe WESTED is not going through with this...after seeing the amazing job they did with their War of the Worlds jacket I think a Wolvy jacket would be a walk in the park AND more popular to boot.....does anyone here have any influence over them? What if we approached them with an RPF order?
