Wolverine Origins Dog tags

Here's another screen cap of the new tag.
It is not American, British or Canadian. It is 100% custom made by the prop department.
As you can see a rather thick piece of aluminum was used and a trench milled into it and then the lettering was stamped in.
It would be a heck of a project.

It does look like a new custom prop. Maybe instead of authentic Canadian dog tags, they wanted to incorporate adamantium dog tags for the Alpha team? That could work for the movie.

They don't exist that way, even US dog tags just have Stamped letters only, this is not what the Origins tag is if you look carefully.
I had to basically machine different stamps of the right size squares, plus the lettering, plus the actual TAG itself is thicker than a standard tag, but this time I used REAL Dog tag Metal so it's strong as hell.
I'm duplicating them now. 3 weeks tops unless I get sick or something comes up.

Hey guys,
I know this thread has died for a couple weeks but I figured I would let people (especially the ones making the replica's of these tags) that the tag is double sided and the 2 sides are different. I hope no one is too far along to add the other side. Here's the screen grabs from my DVD.

Here's my Origins / Weapon-X tag finished, first with the Wolverine tag yet again. They're not standard punched Dog tags, they were made from scratch, individually machined, rectangles and text are drilled into the metal, much thicker than standard US Dog Tags, with the right dull finish as well, individually aged, blank on the back..... extremely bad ass. Made of Nickel plated THICK Steel, nearly indestructible. Standard Dog tag machine equipment can't come close to making them like this. Very costly to produce but they'll last MANY MANY lifetimes. Message if interested.

Hey no blank on one side as I started these about 2 months ago, with only a bad screenshot to go by. Looks like there are 2 , 1 with Logan etc. one with Wolverine. Someone said they are separate tags as I've seen in the screenshots so it's not really clear to me unless I saw the original.

BTW I have the SECOND tag with LOGAN on it coming soon as well to make the set complete, same exact quality as the first one.

I believe GQ customs is correct that they're double sided... If you look at the two pictures he posted, the hole for the chain is on opposite sides of the tag... That would mean that one side (says Wolverine) has the chain going through one side, on the right looking at the picture, and the other side (Logan) has the chain going through the left...

I just completed a pretty accurate double sided 3D design in emachineshop but don't know where to go with it from there... I've got a friend who knows what to do but I haven't been able to get in touch with him for a few days...

I could do that since I already completed BOTH of them ( The first one in early April ) but it won't be for another 4-8 weeks if I decide to do it as it's very VERY costly to make them like mine without any compromises.

Hey Have my Plain SILVER versions ready, same as the first one except without the anodized text & aging to bring out the details, "LOGAN" 2nd Tags will be finished in about 2 weeks possibly 3.
