Woah...Corey Haim dead.

I totally agree with you SJ!

It's the same way I feel about cops dying in the line of fire.

They choose to do that job, so why should I care if a cop gets killed, thier choice right?

Yep, their choice to protect and serve YOU... Did Corey Serve and protect you? He snorted white powder and smoked Crack cocaine
Great similarity there Brad. Glad we got highly intelligent civilians like you to point that out to us. :wacko

This dont mean were gonna be swappin spit in a warm shower ...

a Shelby GT500 with a cold air intake , a pulley and a tune is still twice the car a GtR is . I had to throw that in there to keep balance in the universe.
You forgot to add "in a straight line." ;)

:confused At least there is some sense of normalcy in the air... Street judge79.

I feel sort of sorry for you drug dealing advocates and naysayers of addiction... ( I understand addiction) but when it destroys those around you and yourself... Too bad so sad... Get a life or do the rest of us a favor and please slowly kill yourself.:)

I don't care and simply refuse to shed a tear for these self destructive losers.

This IS a public forum and opinions are like ********... everyone has one.

It's amazing how many people here are fine with drug use and crime.
Haim commited felonies over and over, for 20 plus years and did no time for it... But our dear dear members that defend those actions cause the kid was in their favorite movie is just pathetic.

I don't think anyone was defending him. Expressing regret over someone losing their life (whether self-inflicted or not) does not automatically equal condoning their actions. I have little tolerance for addicts and their actions, but that doesn't mean I'm going to say 'good riddance' if they overdose... even if I might feel a bit of relief that they're off the streets, they're still human beings and are leaving behind people who will miss them and struggle with their loss.

Why, if you weren't married I'd snatch you up and build you a cake.

Got your PM StreetJudge. I do apologize to you openly, I wanted to make a point.

The point is, you put value on someones life that you have never met, yet just because a police officer has a job that is deemed of "value", you have no problem defending them/you, when I am sure that there are MANY cops that do drugs and are worse than Corey.

Just because he did drugs does not make him a bad person, just weak. So I guess you have shown your true colors, you are a person that picks on the weak.

Of all people I would figure you would have the open mind since that IS your job or do you judge everyone that you meet whether you know them or not.

I'm not trying to throw gasoline on a fire by asking this but...

Am I supposed to be happy that he's dead?

Because this is the only point that I can see you and Darkside making. That I should be applauding his death as it means one less addict on the streets.

Let's get something straight as an arrow.

I hate recreational drugs. I hate drug addicts who completely tear apart not only their own lives, but more importantly the lives of everyone close to them. And drug dealers are among the lowest scum of the Earth.

I have deplored my stepson's actions since he became addicted in 2002. If it were not for the fact that he is my wife's son, I would not have any contact with him and would not allow him within 1000 yards of my home.

But this does not mean that do not want him to turn his life around. It does not mean that I would like to see him 6 feet under. I would not be doing a happy dance if we got the phonecall that he overdosed or was shot to death in a deal gone bad, or offed himself.

I am not so without compassion that regardless of what crimes my stepson has committed, or what he has put his family through, that I would be thinking "good riddance." I'll be much too busy taking care of my wife who will be in pieces.

Do I really care that Corey Haim's drug abuse finally did him in? Not really. I'll probably forget he's gone within a month.

But the parallel between him and my stepson hits too close to home for me. And so I am able to understand what his friends and family went through while he was alive, and what they must be going through now.

It isn't so black and white for me. And while I despise what he put his family through, I will not say things like "one less drug addict." And I most certainly do not appreciate being told to STFU because I'm not so cold hearted as to laugh at and mock a man's death.

This is a tragedy. The worst part is all his friends and family thinking for the rest of their lives if they could have done something more to have saved him.

Sad that a life is ended and was seemingly filled with so much wasted opportunity in the end. That's what get's me. Doesn't matter on the fame side of the person or not.

Another thing that comes to mind is that arguements on the internet are pretty well pointless lol

RIP

Not much of an apology there buddy. Do my job for 15 years like I have and the sympathy for drug users goes away. Sorry, but anyone that smokes crack in my book doesn't deserve much respect. Same as any other criminal. You don't know me enough to tell me I pick on the weak. Just cause I said NO big loss? Do you do crack? Do you snort coke Brad? Cause you are awfully defensive of some dirtbag who did.
It's not picking on the weak, it's just reality. People who do that, deserve what they get , plain and simple.

I didn't realize there were so many perfect people in the world let alone on the RPF.

I laugh every time I see this sentiment. The very suggestion that people can't criticize poor decisions that are made regularly and consistently until a person dies from their decision is laughable. If he just took a hit once from some drugs that'd be a mistake. He regularly used until the day he died, whether or not it caused his death is irrelevant. He was a weak moron.

But yes, thank you for recognizing my inherent superiority.

I'm glad I made your day.

He may have been a weak moron, but it still doesn't call for some of the garbage that has been said about him or about people who are weak in general. Not everyone is perfect and without knowing what went on in their lives 24/7, it is very hard to judge someone.
