Witchking Morgul knife

Does anyone have any idea how large this knife should be? Looking at the Weta Workshop portion of the LOTR DVDs, I'm getting an idea that the blade should be around 20" long, but that's almost short sword sort of length.

Anyone have any hard info, or personal observations of the original prop?
