WIP- Helghast Elite Shock Trooper/Capture Trooper

Capture trooper is working off of John Wieger's pep files, the Elite headgear is a mixmatch of both freehand pep, acrylic and the Capture Trooper helmet.

So far, just helmets have anything done- first one's mostly done, being buffed up a bit to look worn. Second is unpainted and not detailed, still needs top, sides and back of head protection, which will be EVA and acryl

Armour itself has been started, no pictures yet.
Totally open to any suggestions! Noticed no one's done an elite shock trooper yet, sort of wondering about undersuit details, and how to do orange eyepieces (thinking Glowspex right now). Killzone costumes don't seem as in vogue anymore.

Okay I guess this is the last update for tonight

After realizing the foam block in the rear head guard was too big, I took it out. Looks more like the game version now.

Maybe! That's a lot of fabric work, my thing is more armour- the mask is pretty simple, and the helmet is close enough to a PASGT that a cheap replica could be modified to work. Fabric work is not my forte.

So, I've ran into an impasse.

Unsure how to get this to work.. as it stands, it isn't any brighter. I ripped apart some booklight LEDs, put them inside (since this, foiled them red). On the inside there's a secondary set of reflective orange lenses.
Still, it's not even nor bright enough. Any ideas?

Wait, I think I got it.

Harder to see out of, there's a secondary set of reflective lenses inside when the lights are on. Hard to see in photos, much subtler glow after lights were changed to red.

You could always rap LED wires around the inside of the lenses and have reflective tape (red/orange) around that to reflect the light towards the center, then have red tinted lenses on the back of all of that... Just a thought...

That's a really good idea, actually.. thanks! May just try that, I think a buddy of mine has some red EL wire kicking about.

I started working on the chest... and then I got bored and started making Spartan armour on a complete whim. And then, I had the crazy idea of making a Helghast Spartan, all carbon fibre black and Stahl logo'd up with a reflective orange lens... so I powered through this overnight.

Sadly, it's been put on a backburner- I built a set of Spartan III in the meantime. I gave the Capture Trooper to my good friend at Quantum Entanglement Props, but I do intend on finishing the Elite Shock Trooper- just need to find a better way to light the lenses.
