Many thanks also to jason1976 for his help and guidance in putting this together and to Jodo for having my back!

A really big Thank You to all of you who participated with your entries--not one entry went without a vote--totally awesome creativity and wow factors in EVERY entry and how anyone ever decided which one to vote for is beyond me! But vote you did and thank you for participating with your voting! And last, but certainly not least, a very special thank you to Brashsculptor and tuskenfett for their most generous prize donations. If you would please contact the winner who selects your prize donation and make arrangements with them for sending it.

Yay..congratzz...good jobb..blah blah blah....get the build posts up!!!!! lol

No but seriously,
Great job and congratz to all.

You like me! You really like me! :cry

Ok, maybe not so much but but congrats to Badmojo! I'm interested in seeing a buildup for his entry.

I'll get a build thread for mine up in the next day or two. I actually didn't buy anything for my build, all the parts used came out of the base gun. :)

Congrats to the winners and all who entered. I was incredibly impressed with all entries. :thumbsup

My 1st choice was #9 but my 2nd, 3rd, & 4th were:

2nd: #8
3rd: #10
4th: #1

#11: Was a great build, very Fifth Element-al. They all were fantastic work though. Simply Amazing!

They were all so good I couldn't vote for one. I am very happy with the winners. Good job to the gun makers, and good job to the voters for making the tough decision.

Wicked! OK, First off, I'm going to claim beginner's luck. This was really my first attempt at a build like this. The whole time I was building it I kept thinking it would never rate with the quality of stuff I've seen you guys post in the past, but I was having a blast doing it. I definitely want to thank Shylaah for hosting this shindig, and I want to thank everyone else for joining in and voting.
I'm tempted to grab one of Brashsculptor's fantastic kits, but I think I'll snag the AmEx card donated by Shylaah.
I didn't end up taking any real WIP pics as most of the parts were pretty simple but I'll make sure and do a break-down on the build.
Thanks again guys, looking foreward to the next one.

Congrats Badmojo! A well deserved winner! I love the ammo counter and the scope. It's a really fantastic transformation.

And a big thanks to everyone who voted for my entry. As far as a build thread goes, there's not much to it, just hacking it up and putting it back together again, a bit of sheet styrene and a LOT of weathering.

My initial plan when i saw the Soaker was to go all District 9, but then realised that wasn't really the point of the contest so i changed tack and went in a different direction.

If Badmojo is going for the AmEx card, then I'd love to take one of Brashsculptor's beautiful pieces. I've got my eye on the Halo pilot's helmet if thats cool?

Once again, Thanks so much to everyone involved!

Looks like everyone is having fun on their builds too! Making it hard to chose. :):thumbsup

Wow! I'm speechless! Didn't really think mine would draw that many votes!

I guess it's The Marvel Encyclopedia for me!

Awesome contest, I had a lot of fun hunting for my watergun, since i started late there wasn't much to choose from.

My first pan was to extend the barrel, add a folding stock and turn it into a carbine... but I couldn't find the right size PVC pipe. When I saw the Husky Utility Knife at Home Depot had the same curvature as the handle of the blaster I took the easy route.

The build it's self was pretty simple:

1) disassemble and remove internal components;
2) discard watertank/butt assembly;
3) dremmel out unwanted plastic;
4) replace plastic barrel cooling piece with a section of perforated chrome pipe from a dollar-store hair brush;
5) fit utility knife as handle (screws/hot glue);
6) paint with Krylon satin black, rub with antiquing pewter, and dry-brush worn areas with Testor's silver.

It really came together quite quickly, I estimate the entire build time at approximately 6 to 7 hours. The finished product has a nice aggressive Klingon Disruptor meets Sand Trooper appearance.

Thanks to everybody, especially Shylaah for another stimulating contest!

Awesome work everyone, and congrats to the winners! :D And I think we all owe Shylaah a thanks for putting this contest together. :D

I've got to say great job Badmojo, seriously I think we're all in agreement that you maximized the potential for this contest. What did you end up using for an ammo counter?
