Will the MR Trek items come to market?

I don't want to start a MR ripping session, I just want to know if the concensus is these pieces will ever be made. We all know MR is going through some rough transitions, but I have been waiting for the assault phaser for years now. Rodenberry.com has a very nice kit in the works but I am so behind on my builds, I would love to have a nice MR version out of the box and done if possible. I have always been happy with my MR items and have an extensive collection, but I just don't feel confident these Trek items are going to get done...:confused

From the rumblings going about, sounds like MR is sounding its death knell. Financially, I don't think they're sitting too well. The split up of Corgi certainly didn't help. They've taken so long to get things to market that even if they could get a few of those pieces out, it probably wouldn't be enough to save them at this point. We might end up with an Icons situation in which they can't deliver the promised run of a product...

You know they have a ship date of 8/15 and 9/15 for both of the new items, right? I'm pretty sure we will see them.

One good thing is that they don't charge your credit card until they are about to ship it, so if they don't make them, it will not be like Icons where they took your money and then did not deliver and you never got your money back.

I sure hope so. I want my one-of-a-kind MR Assault Phaser blueprint to go up in value before I sell it. :)

I have read many a thread where someone alludes to MR having serious internal issues...can someone point me to a thread that summizes the major issues?

Well, people keep saying the since they lost the SW license there is no way they can survive. Other than that I haven't read anything.

Internet gossip...as usual !!! Don't believe what you hear or read on the net, future will tell us the true MR situation.

The Tricorder is a sure thing as I am pretty sure the Phaser is.

I think ComiCon will be a pretty good indicator of how long MR will be around.

Looks like they won't be there - word is they pulled out a few days ago... doesn't look good....

That doesn't mean anything. They had a nice set up at Toy Fair from what I remember. They may just be spending their time and money on development right now. Which is smarter than spending the money to set up a booth at the Con.

You know they have a ship date of 8/15 and 9/15 for both of the new items, right? I'm pretty sure we will see them.

I remember those being the ship dates when I pre ordered but the dates seem to have been removed on both pages now, no ship date given.

I work for the company that is the official for Comic Con with regard to Decorating, A/V, and Exhibitor Services.

I could check and see if they are exhibiting at the show or not. (Not sure if I can find out the reasons if they are not...I believe that would be handled at the Expo side.)

:eek Oh oh! :eek

Again, it means nothing. A booth at SDCC the size they had a toy fair probably run upwards of $1,500. Plus they have to pay their people to be there. Their money is better spent elsewhere right now. I'm a dealer for MR and they are still taking orders. If they were planning to cancel the items they wouldn't continue to take orders. At least I would hope not.

They hired a master maker and couldn't pay them the agreed upon $3000. They have trickled money in as payment, but it has been so bad that it's been referred to a collection agency. That is not the indication of a thriving company.

Again, it means nothing.

Comic-Con and Toy fair were where MR would promote there newest releases.

It could mean nothing or it could mean everything, and from what I have been hearing things are NOT looking good for MR right now

Yeah but Icons took people's money. MR doesn't. :p ;) :) And MR had a nice display at Toy Fair.
