far under 1K, made for a friend, based on a parks MK3, with the first screw-on Romans pommel, screw on made by me, and screwing on a modified parks booster. After that it gets easier to have screw-on pommels because Romans now sell them.
The friend had the parks MK3, I made him buy the romans pommel, then I charged the pommel modification, parks booster modification, parks grenade modification (a bit of machining and weathering) custom charge port and emitter to the friend.
After this saber I made a set of 3, made from modified romans pommels (adding thread) modified parks boosters and grenades (no way to find something else at this time), custom made screw-on fx spacers (the first ever made) and custom made emitters with my technology.
I'm still planning to make these emitters as a run, but have to buy the machines.
Now Romans makes good pieces I don't need to machine any spacers.
Once assembled, the fx saber is not visible, looks entirely like a static.
I am still working on the complicated version, but same problem I have to buy the machine to continue, I will probably machine a complete grenade for this project, so the only original piece will be the clamp all other parts will be made by me.
It will have a full fx reveal core, with dissassemblable parts, and re-assembled hilt on one side, fx core on other side, it's for a video project, where obiwan (actor) and me will repair his saber, so we will see what's inside and how it works.
You can see other sabers for this video project on my channel:

The wookie saber, the archaic one and the complicated obi saber are for this video project.
The wookie saber is a first attempt to check core assembly, wooden hilt, and gungi looking.
The final gungi saber will have more complicated core, so it can be assembled like in the cartoon.
I also have to plan to make identical energy cels and various parts to create a kind of standart technoligy for modern sabers, so the parts will be interchangeable.
Once it will be done, it will be possible to simulate saber reparation using junk pieces taken from other sabers.
Of course I will make only a few saber with real junk parts inside, other will be static props, will make less work ...
