Now before this thread gets mooved, let me specify that this is not in any way a for sale thread, and that I'm posting it here, not because I'm offering anything yet, but because I want to get some feedback about whether people here are interested in the barbican saber and if so, how they might want to go about makign a Barbican sbaer project a reality.
So I was thinkning of taking on the project of doing a Barbican Darth Vader ESB saber and I want to know who here is interested in this saber, and how they would like to approach it.
My idea would be to offer parts -shroud, d-ring, pommel, and the small box that goes behind the shroud, and sell those parts, along with an aluminum tube to board members so that they could build their own accurate Barbican prop.
Anyone interested in this kit would have to buy an MPP clamp form Blast-tech or Parks, along with a set of grips from either Blastech or Saberfreak and would have to drill the appropriate holes in the saber body as well as paint the apropriate sections black. It would be a real simle build and would require minimal skills, experience or tools, and the main benefit to the builder would be to save a little cash and to have the fun of bulding the prop themselves.
So what do you guys think? Does this sound like an good aproach and if not, what might you guys recomend?
Also, what do you guys have for references for this saber. I've got a bunch of pics on an old PC, but not all of them are on hand right now.
Thanks
