Who builds sabers anymore?

Those look really good. Full scale?

Yep! The smaller one was for my son's costume. The top one matched a graflex. I can put a PVC pipe into both of them and have it screw down.

Here's the larger one in action! :lol

Instead of starting an all new thread about my hardware sabers, I thought I would revive this one. Especially since I was thinking the same thing, "Does anyone still build hardware sabers anymore?"

So here's mine

First up three of my scratchbuilds from the same random parts I keep in a large (and heavy) box in the garage

I guess I should have used a better flash on that pic, but it shows the profile fairly well.

With this one I was saving up parts to make a Hardware Dooku, but then I decided to make a custom out of the spare pieces I have sitting around.

And sonce I have been noticing all the various Steampunk builds and the amazing amount of imagination that goes into them, I decided to make a steampunk lightsaber.

This one would be my Royal British Officer's saber

Next out of the remainnig brass parts I decided to make a competing French model. And since the saber would be more of a gentleman's weapon I decided to put something close to a Rapier hilt on it so the weilder could fence with it. I also included a leather grip, the only problem I had was two days after gluing it together the green crysyal in the chamber at the bottom began to shift to the side. It seems to have dried in that position.

I got a MR Luke Skywalker Episode IV lightsaber. It's very nice, and photographs well, but I don't like to carry it with me. I took it to a convention where I dressed up, got some pics, and showed it off. Now I'm working on just carrying hilts because I prefer to have my hands free. I made a junky hilt from a trip to Home Depot and carried it to a Halloween party. It doesn't look great, but oh well. I'll snap some pics later and post 'em.

I haven't started on mine yet,but this is what mine will look like when done,it's using all parts from Custom Saber Shop.

Could be nothing, don't get excited!
Take a look at the nearest Rook on this chess set:

Not sure of the scale, and the real part's now known, but it looks to me like a reasonable substitute.

A substitute for what?
It sort of resembles the ANM2 booster from the obi ANH saber.
