White Vinyl Molding

Anybody got a good source for WHITE vinyl molding or 'edging'? This is the stuff you would line Stormtrooper armor with, or in my case, AT-AT Driver armor.

Similiar to this, but a little wider.

All my searches have come up empty.

Not really sure about the width, just eyeballing it, I would guess a little wider, maybe 1/2", but 5/16" may be fine.

I found that first site, but they have very little info. I've contacted them via email and I am awaiting their reply.

On the second one, the edging looks a bit blocky and it is textured. I need smooth.

Thanks. The closest I could find was this stuff which looks a little heavy duty, is sand textured, and I'd have to buy 250 feet of it.

SWR150 neck


Inexpensive, and very reasonable and fast shipping to the US.

I do not know if this trim is available in white. Trim Lok only seems to sell massive quantities. I tried to order some from JCWhitney but the sizes never seem to work well with the armor

is plastic and not very flexible.

That one does look the best so far clutch. I emailed them and they ship to UK so I'm going to order some. I think it should be quite rigid and not too flexible like the silicone trim I tried was terrible.

The SWR150 is not the same stuff as it used to be and is much thicker than the original 'S' profile unfortunately. I recently bought some and had to send it back. I'm on the lookout now for some better stuff.

Coolness. I ordered the stuff in my first picture, so now we can compare.

Got the edging in. It is about what I expected. It looks quite nice on the armor and looking at photographs, it's hard to tell the difference between the two. I got it from here: http://www.customautotrim.com/products/moldings/door.htm

Here it is. Can definitely tell it is new. It is 5/16th's of an inch tall:

Here is the stuff that came off my AT-AT helmet. It is 3/8th's of an inch tall. It has retained its shape, so I had to hold it on to keep it from falling off. Can you tell it is 1/16" taller?

It'll be nice to compare it to the stuff that Paul is getting.
