Where to get spare model parts?

I'm new to modeling and wanted to work an a spaceship type model. I'm building most of the rough shapes myself but i'm trying to look for some smaller spare parts from sci-fi models that i can alter to fit my model, things that are too small and intricate to do myself.
Does anyone know where i could get a bundle of spare parts (pretty much anything) for cheap? i tried looking on ebay but didnt know how to word it properly for the search, only came up with some car related parts. I'm not sure how to word it properly so i'm having trouble finding it.

Ebay or starship modelers, junk model tank lot etc on ebay. I did a wtb on starship wtb greeblies old kits junk. Got some freebies and HUGE box of stuff in trade for one my masks.
