Ive search all over here, google, yahoo, and youtube for an answer to my question, but to no luck or specific answer. I know it probably is a pretty easy answer, but Id like to make certain.
When do I cut or dremel the eyes off my predator bio helmet? Before or after bondo?
As of right now, my helmet is resined on the outside and resin+fiberglassed on the inside, so its sturdy. The eyes are still intact.
IMO, i was thinking of cutting the eyes out before I bondo it with filler, but i saw somewhere that the bondo could warp areas. I wouldnt want it to warp the eyes if i cut them out before. So that would be my first problem.
To the conrtary, if I go with cutting out the eyes after the bondo process, im left with the portion between the inside and outside of the eyes having no bondo and would have to bondo them. Seems less of a problem and only a small amount of time bondoing these little portions.
So from the experts, when would be the best time to dremel/cut the eye pieces? Prior to bondo or post?
(Note: My first pep creation ever. Shoulda used glue instead of tape, but oh well)
